In Response To: New Major League Baseball Playoff structure (OT?) (Jason Lee)

It has created a much higher number of regular season games that are meaningful, compared to the Bob Costas model, which would have cancelled last season's last riveting day.

The wild card champions, in both sports, demonstrate that playing well at the end actually deserves and attains more success than a good first month.
