In Response To: Rollouts (Stick)

I note that in the first position rollout (41 to play) the "Conf." entry for the top plays say, respectively, [99.9%] and [0.1%]. The figures for the second position (42 to play) are [55.7%], [43.7%], [0.1%] and [0.5%].

I assume that is an indicator of how "confident" XG is in its evaluation of the plays, but don't really know. I am a GNUbg user, so I use the JSDs as my intuitive guide to confidence in the rollouts.

Will appreciate an explanation of XG's confidence figures.
