Hand #2

At a full table when the BB reraises even if it is against the SB and the original raiser they almost always have a real hand. (esp. since I raised UTG) So I have to give him credit for something big right away. I still have to see the flop and see what comes with a hand like AK.

The flop comes down KQX with two clubs and I have no clubs. The SB pushes all in for a meager $55. I'm not worried about his hand, I'm sure I have him dominated and most likely he's on some sort of not so strong drawing hand. The problem arises when the big blind still comes over top of him. Now I pegged him as strong because of his preflop action and his postflop action has narrowed his range down even further.

Preflop I put someone like that on 99 or better with the weakest ace holding AJs or AQo. With that flop action a lot of hands have dropped out of contention and almost everything that is left has me beat or best case scenario, has me splitting. This was an easy fold for me at the table. BB turned over aces and I forget what the SB turned over, something trashy like I thought and he lost the pot.

Hand #3

Preflop at this table I can see most flops with truly connected cards at a cheap rate. My position is late (esp after 1 behind folds) and makes my hand stronger. When the flop comes down 378 w/two diamonds and push monkey shoves again my call is quite easy. To me he's on one of two types of hands. Either he has two overs for some sort of straight draw or the most likely scenario, a flush draw. The only thing I ever need to worry about in this situation is how many people are behind me yet to act. Luckily there's only one so I made the quick call. As expected, he turns over 4Q of diamonds. He hits a diamond ...yada yada yada.

Hand #1

didn't come through on the pokerhand posting. Here's the short version. I raised EP w/AQo and LP reraised me w/small blind cold calling. I decided to see the flop again though my hand is pretty devalued at this point. Flop comes down AQX. SB shoves, I hollywood to try to get LP to call behind me but he folds. SB turns over AK and I'm ecstatic until the turn is a king.
