Third roll 11 after 53-31 and after 64P-31, I don't understand

Why does 8/7(2) 6/5(2) go up in value (according to xg++) compared to 24/22 6/5(2) when the opening was 64 (making the deuce) compared to if it were 53?
I mean, I can come up with reasons 24/22 should gain ground instead: *worse prospects for priming after making the deuce instead of trey, and worse prime timing because of the race *less of a priority to trap opponents back checkers and more of a priority to escape my own as I'm up by more in the race
And yes, it's a very slight effect, but it goes in the opposite direction of what I would expect...
