Was it something about not doubling at 3A? YMMV in general, but in this specific case, I'd wait and try to get a match-winning backgammon.

On the take side, it's not great, but I'd expect enough wins, most of them recubed since I can redouble if I see daylight, to make it a take. At least White has no weaknesses on offense, meaning no buried, dillied, or otherwise misplaced checkers, and he has the start of some good offensive structure.
