Straight from the ABT rules:

A player may request the Director to bar one or more spectators from viewing his match.

You can request, you can't just crack a whip and ban people. (which makes sense to me) Of course any tournament can use any rules it likes but a lot of ppl have the misconception that you can ban anyone from watching your match. It's highly irregular to say the least that a player can simply bar people from a match.
