I've tweaked your position by splitting the back checkers. Ignore the obvious move which makes the anchor and compare the other choices. Now K and H appear to be best. (The rollout needs extending.) This tells me that in your position, it is critical to split the back checkers. Once they are split, it is less important to move them again. So, you need to understand why it is critical to split the back checkers in your position and why it is not critical in Paul's position.
