A position similar to this (but not quite as clear) came up in a chou in an incredibly strong chou. I can tell you that sometimes, even a group of good/great players are unwilling to make the correct play. 4 blots = scary.

Neil summed it up also, to someone, after a match he and I played - "people are afraid of a lot of blots", when he took a cube to 4 with the possibility of getting gammoned if I picked up all of his blots, which was likely if I got the right first one. (The person thought Neil had a drop - it was actually a ND by 0.04)
