Here is what I said when I posted rollouts of 54S-11 by David and Igor.
After playing 54S-11N, the opponent can hit from the bar with any 8 except 22. When you play 54S-11E instead, 62 is an unappetizing response from the bar. To a lesser extent, so is 53. While 44 cannot be called unappetizing, it is much better when it hits. Compared to the hitting options given by 54S-11N, all of these 8s play relatively worse after 54S-11E.
