8th member of PR4.0 club - Clarification

I would clarify that all the matches from PR 4.0 Club will enter the BMAB database provided that the members are content for the transfer to take place. Mochy, who is the President of the Backgammon Masters Awarding Body (BMAB), will generally allow current PR 4.0 Club applications to run their course, but does not intend to allow any new applications, as these can of course be dealt with by BMAB.

Just like in the requirements for the Mochy PR 4.0 Club all matches must be clocked, played in a live tournament environment, and must transparently fair, devoid of any possibility of cherry picking.

Congratulations to Kiyokazu Nishikawa and the seven other members for their superlative achievements. They will all be conferred with the lifetime title of Grandmaster (Class 3). Currently, for all these players, the class level is restricted to Class 3 because higher levels need increasingly higher levels of experience, but these awards should be within their grasp soon.

Within the next few months, several tournaments are scheduled which will give other players the opportunity to gain masterships at various levels.

A dedicated website is currently under construction and should be ready within the near future.
