PR is normalized, so that a checker play error at 11a-11a will have the same effect on your PR as it will at 1a-1a. However, the effect on your match winning chances will be much higher at 1a-1a.

Luck is also normalized, as are cube decisions. So, if you play well and have good luck at the beginning of the match but make errors and have bad luck at the end while your opponent does the opposite you can wind up with better PR and better luck than her and still lose.

The solution is to abandon EMG equity and use MWC instead, but this has it's own problems. As Neil says, don't stress over it. Focus on playing well and the luck will sort itself out in the end.
