As a general observation, it is surprising how strong an anchor on the oppt's 3 pt is. My rough rule of thumb is to think twice about doubling the oppt if he has my three pt.

My observation is completely opposite. 22pt anchor is surprisingly weak. Many positions which would be takes or even no doubles for advanced anchors are passes with 22pt anchor.

The OP is not a double since mutual holding games rarely are doubles. The only really crushing roll I see is 64.
