Coming from a Chess background, what I'd like to see are board numbers assigned to each match in main and consolation - I think it's happened once or twice that I remember. Recently in a tournament an opponent asked me if we could move to a table on the far side of the playing hall, citing "better light" and "quiet". I didn't realize this was a ruse to put me off my game. It started off with over friendly chit chat about me, where I'm from and so on. Then there began a non stop torrent of "don't roll 55" "don't roll 65" or whatever my horrible rolls were, or "lucky I played it that way" when he got a good sequence. He said he wanted "quiet" but would not shut his mouth until I told him to. Having a board number assigned would prevent these shenanigans, there will be more witnesses to illegal moves, and create more excitement in my opinion knowing you are playing on one of the top boards. Boards 1 thru 8 would be for last sixteen and so on. It will also save time, since rather than searching for your opponent you just go to your assigned board number.
