I truly enjoyed watching the match, and found myself laughing and smiling at many of Falafel's comments. He certainly is a great 'colour man' as a commentator. I found the event to be compelling, and was riveted to my computer, throughout. Hopefully, we will have more events like this in the future. It is a great way to promote the game.
As a suggestion for future broadcasts of this sort, the commentary can be improved by adding a 'straight man/woman as a commentator. Comparing to a Monday night football broadcast, the straight man provides the facts for the viewers, calling out the dice as they are rolled, calling the play by play, giving updates on the score, how many games remain to be played, etc. The colour man adds opinion and insight to each situation. I'm looking forward to the day when we will have multiple camera angles, showing the faces and reactions of the participants. Of course, such a broadcast requires a production crew and a substantial budget.
We all understand that there is a very tight budget available for live streaming. In spite of this, overall the production was very good. I found the the session to be compelling, and will remember this as one of the great moments of contemporary backgammon. (I'm new to all this live streaming, so my memory only goes back a year or so.) Anyway, thank you, Tuvi for a job well done.
