How come NO ONE noticed this:

The player rolling, BTW, is usually the least likely to notice it; it's muscle memory.

This scenario can never outweigh the benefits of baffle boxes, though it may be an argument for not also using cups - or not having to use them. Of course, the more used to boxes players get, the less likely they are to do it, and the more likely they - or their opponents (or the ref, the commentators...) - are to notice it if they do.
