I didn't comment on this earlier because I didn't have any idea what was best. I figured the top several plays would be close. As to why 13/7 9/7 stands out I have only a couple of guesses: 1) Staying back on the 24 might be right in order to cover the entire board in hopes of picking up another checker; 2) Putting blots in Blue's outfield might not be the right idea because it gives White a chance to hit, then subsequently make those points. This makes it tougher for Blue to come home and gives White better chances to win going forward.

Mere speculation. I'm hoping others will offer ideas.
