You understand the math as well as I do. My unspoken point is that White doesn't have many sequences which will leave her a significant favorite. Most of them will be marginal. Blue will still have an efficient double. The normal plan on the second roll is to hold the ace anchor leaving some very favorable doublets next turn. This tends to force 2-away to double out. For example. After an opening 41S, the proper response is 32D with that logic. 41S-32D is double / pass and everything else is TG. That type of play wasn't available here and hence the opportunity to keep playing. When you get close to TG territory at this score, it is almost always best to keep the ace anchor if that is a viable play.

This subject is fascinating since it is so different than anything else we see in this game. Of course it is very low value since it is easy to play for a year and not see these positions once.
