And what do you then do? Tell them that they can still win and risk pissing them off, making them look silly or just accept it?

I take it. If they're not smart enough to realize that hopeless in backgammon often is far from it, then that's a flaw in their game.

It's also a no-win situation for me in some sense. 99% of the time, I just look like a jerk, "making" them roll a couple more times. 1% of the time, I just help them win a miracle. No thanks on both.
