Opening 43U

Current theory says it is never best to open with 43U. It is relatively best when your gammon value is zero. Consider playing it at DMP, GS and similar hybrid scores. At DMP the rollout has it within .0025 of the best move, Z. Since you are not improving your forward position, you can't expect to win many gammons. So, play it when you don't care about winning gammons.
