S versus Z in nactation

I went through this thought process as well and eventually concluded that the currect system is best - only use Z when S is potentially ambiguous. The choices made setting the Nactation system consider not just the first two moves where you now have some experience. They also cover moves three and later. I would suggest that suggestions for change be withheld until they have been tested extensively past the second move as the current system has.
