OT: Zeus: Let them score?

Something was mentioned (not necessarily recommended, though) in the Eagles/Broncos game that I thought was interesting and wondered if Zeus can form an opinion.

The score is tied and Philly has the ball on Denver's 25-yd line with about 1:30 to go in the 4th. It's 1st and 10 and they are obviously planning on running some conservative running plays and going for the winning field goal with effectively zero time left on the clock. Assume both teams have 2 timeouts left. It is possible that the best strategy for Denver is to willfully let them score immediately (by failing to tackle any runner) so they can get the ball back and have some time left to score themselves? If they play it out 'normally', Philly will basically use up the rest of the clock and kick a short field goal with no time for Denver to respond.

Is this possibly correct? If Denver attempts this, should Philly's runners take a knee and not score?
