Another Rule 1.5 interpretation problem

I had an opponent do this once... I'd never even thought about it, and midway through the match, I noticed what he was writing. I asked him to not do it, and he was extremely apologetic and very polite about it, to the point where I felt bad for asking. Later, he did it again by accident/habit and he was again very contrite... I told him it was no big deal. Very nice guy, I wound up giving him a ride to the airport after the tournament.

I guess I'm not bad mouthing him, may as well tell you who it was... the guy's name was Kaz Shiotani... never saw him at any tournament since.
