I have never looked into cube efficiency % much but my feeling is that it is much more complicated than cubeful and cubeless equity.

Let me restate it this way: Suppose we accept the standard method of measuring takes, i.e., we estimate cubeless wins, factor in adjusted cubeless gammons, and add recube vig. Are you saying that you don't think there's any way to break down recube vig into more easily understandable components, which one might be able to estimate more accurately?

If you have not looked into cube efficiency much then your feeling that it is more complicated may be due just to its unfamiliarity rather than its intrinsic complexity.
