SURVEY Q8 - To what extent are you in favour of a World Ranking?

In Response To: SURVEY Q8 - To what extent are you in favour of a World Ranking? (Mr Majestyk)

I am HIGHLY in favor of:

1. A world wide ranking;

2. A world wide rating system;

3. A world wide organization with world wide rules, standards of ethical practice, promotion and programs, tournament standards, and ability to protect the players from unfair and unethical practices by tournament directors to to protect tournament directors from unfair and unethical players, and of course, players from other unfair and unethical players.

I have YET to hear strong arguments against the above, yet it fails to happen for reasons that are beyond my comprehension.
