How to roll dice through a baffle box

If it were possible affect the dice with mental energy, that would be cheating. The rules should not cater to players who are trying to get an unfair advantage.
Your point 1 is debatable but also irrelevant. Regarding point 2, I don't see how letting a person use a dicecup in conjunction with a baffle box hurts anyone. (I did see your comment about cheating with a cup+box, which is also debatable and hopefully irrelevant as well.) I certainly would have no problem if my opponent put his/her dice through the baffle box as you prescribe, if it's a baffle box I feel is going to randomize the dice (as Phil's version 3 does). Some might object, and be more likely to object with that than if a cup were used. Initially I didn't use a cup but now I do. I don't want to distract people (and turn them off to baffle boxes) by doing something they think is questionable. If someone has a problem with my using a cup in conjunction with a baffle box then unless s/he's a hypocrite I'm assuming that person also has a problem with me rolling from a cup. I have a Meyer Dice Tube in that case and have no problem using it. If they object to all three then I hope the director has a solution because I will have run out of reasonable ideas (and patience).
I've wondered about discussing/arguing with someone who believes in telekinesis regarding backgammon dice. Would you rather have them expending mental energy on finding the best move or trying to will the dice? As long as their physical actions are consistent with providing random rolls, let them have all the delusions they desire.
