I don't have XG at the moment, but isn't 53 for white as bad in both cases? 32 and 31 are not great after 21/15 either. Don't you agree that three checkers on 17,16 & 15 provide better coverage on white'a escaping numbers? Apart from 65, look how well placed are those checkers if white rolls 64! We hit with 34/36 which almost makes it a non-escaping number. After 62 again it is better to have played 21/15. Again, it is not only the immediate 6. 21/15 works better long term. Of course I can see the risk of 11,33 and of some pick and pass numbers.
