From a Chouette in Novi

Inspired by Timothy's thread about difficult problems in backgammon, I am posting this position from a chouette in Novi when all (or most) cubes were turned and the captain is on roll. There were many good players and this was discussed in length and I recall at least four plays that were strongly advocated. After the play was made more outsiders joined the discussion with strong and firm opinions. I think that the objective circumstances point to a difficult position. Perhaps it is because every play suggests to a different game plan (or different to some extent).
On the caveat side - It happened last Saturday night when we were all tired, beaten up by the dice, and the alcohol was flowing (at least for some). Therefore, our judgment was impaired more than the usual.
