In these OLM's and when answering other play questions, I often wonder when people don't mention a candidate if they really even noticed it.

A potential pitfall (which I know about because I've fallen into it) is a mental conversation that goes: "My instinct is to play X. But then why was this presented as a problem? Oh, I see, I could play Y. Well, X is better than Y, but that must be the reason I was asked to vote." (Z remains uncharted territory.)
