Jason did an awesome job but did it under duress.

As soon as I can get my life back in order and decompress, I have a lot to say about this tournament. A lot of it is going to be positive, but some of it is going to be a brutal scathing indictment of some backgammon people. I'm not going to name any names, because that's bad mojo... I'm going to be calling out the community in general, and the criticism just won't apply to everybody. I'll be painting with a huge, wide brush.

One thing I'm never going to forget is a player who will remain forever nameless, came up to a group of people as he was leaving. I was in that group. Some of the players were in a match. This guy shook the hands of every person in that group, and said goodbye to everybody in that group. Except me, and I helped run that tournament. I am 83.7% sure he was not one of the two people I snapped at on Sunday, so I don't think there was an axe to grind. Not everybody said thanks and goodbye to me, but to come up to a group of people and snub the only person who was working actually made me feel like shit. I REALLY don't think it was intentional, but it was super super weak sauce.

It's probably the wrong time to say this and think this, just because the sting of it all is so fresh in my mind, but it's entirely possible I will never, ever do this again. I might have streamed my last match, might have taken my last entry into a blitz. I might be going right back to just entering some tournaments, playing, and winning and losing and having fun. It's possible I simply don't have the temperament to handle running a backgammon tournament. Even when I lose, I usually leave a backgammon tournament feeling like I had fun. When I win, I often feel euphoric. Right now, I'm very much unsatisfied with the overall experience I had over the weekend.
