As a team sport, Hockey is high on my list. The combination of strength, speed, coordination and guts is amazing.
For individual sports, I have to put gymnastics on top of my list. I don't think there is a finer all-around athlete than a top gymnast to combine strength, coordination, balance, grace, and guts. Plus the gymnast must develop and use every part of his body perfectly whereas most other sports require some specialization.
Yes, hitting a baseball is very hard, but if someone masters it that does not make them, in my opinion, as complete an athlete as a top Hockey player or gymnast. Passing and shooting the puck well in hockey is every bit as difficult as hitting a baseball, and you do it while skating on two thin blades, moving at high speeds, and when about to get hit by a 190 lb. killer coming at you at high speed with the intent of putting you in the hospital.
