Leaving aside players' copyright in their play, my answer to your question is No. If the next question is "What's the difference?" I can give you two.

First, the mechanics of video taping slow things down, including non-clock time. If an opponent won't agree to share the fruit of the taping, then no, I wouldn't want to waste my time. (I've never run into that.)

Second, if my opponent won't share hand-recording, then I'm just going to take a picture of it anyway, LOL. But my other option is to hand-record on my own. The difference here is that I don't always bring a video camera but I always bring my hands.
