Better late than never, I just followed Rich's link and read through the proposed 2018 USBGF rules revisions, together with the rules committee's underlying rationale for each revision. That is quite a document, and well worth reading for those who haven't already done so. Thanks to any and all who contributed to this worthwhile initiative.

(BTW: I vote in favor of the proposed dice-on-checker rule revision. In fact, I would be in favor of further liberalizing the old cocked-die rule by counting as valid any unambiguous die that has landed anywhere on the playing surface after a fair shake and toss of both dice.)
