If you do that and make the doubling window position specific, the doubling window collapses to the right decision for that particular position, score, cube size and cube position. It is then either a double or not, and it is either a take if doubled or not. If you would do something in between "position types", you could get a doubling window that is narrower and perhaps more useful as an analytical tool, but at the cost of needing many more doubling windows because you'd need to cover all position types.
