for match play here is a quick example

11 point match

A is 10 elo stronger so wins 50.95% of the match

  • You will need 11,000 matches to reach 95% confidence
  • You will need 20,000 matches to reach 99% confidence

A is 25 elo stronger so wins 52.38% of the match

  • You will need 1,700 matches to reach 95% confidence
  • You will need 3,000 matches to reach 99% confidence
