Yes, I did know what you meant. I was eliminating the backend infrastructure from the equation to simply boil down the problem to that of a database of rollouts accessible from a central source. We are looking at Software as a Service.

We completely agree on this. ALL bots/software/users (thus my original bot agnostic comment) should be able benefit from an Open API that can be freely used within Open Source, or Commercial products. The bots would then have the ability (if the author chooses) to program against the API to access the central repositories. This thread was in the context of XG, but I wished to formalize the view that the repository should allow equal access to all products and users.

Rollouts in the cloud is a nice to have, and a proof of concept has been given. However where rollouts are done is not really relevant IMHO. They could be done by a user on home equipment, a private companies servers or in a cloud environment. As long as results can be published to a central location, I don;t think it matters.
