Alternative(s) to XGR++ for cube decisions

From various threads over the past few weeks (and probably earlier), it appears as though XGR++ works very well for checkerplays and sometimes not so well for cubes. So, is there an alternative for the cube decisions?

One of the 'canned' evals/rollouts in XG2 is "Moves 2-ply, cube decisions 3-ply Red". I've tried this and it's pretty quick (maybe a factor of 2 or so as long as XGR++).

Anyone have opinions or other options they've tried?
