Luck vs Skill

As most here know, the skilled player, by his/her play, maximizes the probability of good luck and minimizes the probability of bad luck.

I often tell the disbelieving whiners there is a formula for luck: (they'll almost always take the bait)

luck = preparation + opportunity + execution
