Why all the mathematicians favor VRR/MWC tournaments over PR tournaments

There are a lot of ways that a player can get "lucky" in a PR tournament as well. As I mentioned in another post, if my opponent dances a long time and I have a lot of easy, but not quite trivial (as judged by XG), decisions while moving my checkers around the board, then this will help my PR a lot just because my errors will be divided by a much larger denominator.
Let me put it in this way.
There is a 1600 player and a 1900 player. They play 100 sets of 25p matches to win by the score (usual tournament style). Which format rewards 1900 more? I believe PR does better. Maybe some one could check their stats against same opponent to see if my statement is right.
You can find a weakeness in both format, but I simply think the weakness in VRR/EMC is bigger.
Is it really more important to you to play like a bot than to play to win?
I will just try to find a best way in a given format. If people can enjoy the format, what is the problem? I agree that people got used to talk about PR and not MWC/VRR so that they like PR format. However, isn't it a valid reason? This is just a game and popularity is an important thing.
