Isn't there a 'standard' bg board shape?!

I went ahead and installed it and it's quite nice, plays strong, even plays nackgammon.

My only complaint with this, and most BG programs for android, is the shape of the board. Backgammon is a VERY visual game. These apps always gear the board to the typical 16 x 9 screens of phones and tablets, resulting in a squashed board. To make things worse, they always have the pip count and some have buttons-above the board...which further squashes the board down! The correct moves just don't show themselves as easily with the board so much wider than it is tall, and such big gaps between the points.

A proper BG board should practically be a square. This one, and most other apps' are almost twice as wide as they are tall.

Maybe it's just my pet peeve, but it borderline pisses me off!
