Isn't there a 'standard' bg board shape?!

I guess I never thought about how tough would be to play on a phone, and completely understand how important it would be to have the board as wide as possible to more easily select the checkers. I'm playing on a tablet.

BTW, I also have Backgammon NJ and love it. It's stronger, prettier, and has hints and ER reporting. I didn't mean to come across so negatively about the board shapes, just thought it'd be a nice option for tablet sized screens.

So...I've always wondered, what does the NJ stand for? New Jersey?
