64 for White

I'm playing 16/6.
I don't see that many gammons after a hit. The "gammon count" for the four outfield checkers is only 24 - or the equivalent of one more man back. Does that generate enough extra gammons to risk losing containment on the lone trailer?
The way we lose after 16/6: get hit, come in quickly, get stuck for a couple of turns and crash our prime. That scenario is much less likely than the main scenario after a hitting play: getting hit by any ace, bouncing until brown rolls a six or closes us out.
Given our six prime, brown opens herself up to the backdoor gammons when she hits our trailing checker too.
