Chouette Money Management Equity and PR Issues

This is partly in response to Ray, since I agree with David, including the "generally" qualifier.
Cases that I think qualify as exceptions based entirely on money management, not cube psychology or potential exploitation of later opportunities, nor on concerns about not getting paid if you win:
1. You recognize that you have a micro-redouble from the Box as far as the position itself, and what XG will say, are concerned. There's no chance whatever that anyone will pass. But if you want to grasp at that equity scrap, you will put yourself in a position where they will be able to throw that untidy pile of 8-cubes or worse back at you if things go wrong, and since we did note you have only a micro-redouble, the chance of that is relatively large.
2. You recognize that XG is going to say that you should take a shot at a gammon with a slightly risky play, but again, the difference is very small. The safe alternative gives you a claim. You blink and claim to "control the swings".
In both these cases, the differences were small. If they were instead moderate or large, what David said.
