Two Tough Checker Plays

I would do the same things.
In 1, I'd want to play 24/21 to activate the back checkers, reduce counterplay, and capitalize on the race lead, but what to do with the accompanying ace? So I'd end up making the 10.
In 2, you'd want to clear the midpoint. Bar midpoint contact is often very bad when (1) the midpoint is stacked (2) you have a weak board against a strong board and (3) your opponent has a guard, because of how repeated 6s play. If you play 8/4 6/4(2), that problem remains, and you are also not going to play 13/9(2) or 13/11(2) 6/4(2), creating two stripped outfield points you'd need to clear. 13/11(4) addresses the problem.
