I didnt do a "roll out". I played the game on my board from this position, so that I can see with my eyes how each next roll might play.

It sounds to me like you just set up the position on a real board, made each of the two candidate plays, and then looked at how the various rolls played for our opponent. Is this correct?

If so, this is just the garden variety checker shuffling you see all the time. So, no, I don't think you did anything wrong, and that this visual aide should be kosher.

But I can see how someone might get the wrong impression from your previous message "having played out each roll on my own board". It all depends on what you mean by "played out".

PS - tough call, and thanks for making it. I fully support your decision.
