hand rollouts?

I am still not exactly sure what I did is considered a "roll out" since I didn't roll a damn thing.
I set up the position and looked at it and said, how does 66 play next? how does 65 play next? how does 64 play next?
You all do this shit in your head for every move.
I, being the inexperienced player that I am, do not.
I had an important decision to make, and I spent the whole morning thinking about it and working on it
and trying to come up with the best play for my team, one that was well thought out.
How is it any different doing that that looking at the image on the computer screen and thinking about it in my head?
By looking at it on an actual board, I was able to see much better how the next rolls could hurt and how many very bad rolls there actually were.
As I mentioned, somebody already listed them all, but it didn't sink in for me that way.

I feel no further need to defend this.
