OTB I would have played 13/10. Having read the arguments for 24/21, I can see why that might be better. I didn't notice how bad White's 4's were. At the same time, I find that against most human opponents, when I'm the backgamee and I have a strong prime, the "enough rope principle" dictates that I leave a lot of blots lying around. It gives my opponent confusing hit-or-not decisions that can be deliciously blunderful, whereas my own decisions tend to be easier. For that reason I'd still lean towards 13/10 even if 24/21 is supposedly the "correct" play.
