I would like to add an argument to push the vote in the direction of 20/18 13x9.

The 13x9/7-votees might underestimate the power of the white return 8x7.

When blue doesn't have a hitting return on this, White will have 6's for escape and {54,43,41,52} as extra inner point builders

On top of the already available: {53,51,31,D1,D2,D5,42}

A great diversification with a total of 30/36 good moves.

Any inner board improvement will make it easier for white to escape later with his two checkers.

So I still vote: 20/18 13x9
