Bear in position vs. 3 anchor

I suppose this must be very close, or John O would not post it. My gut reaction is to hit loose and cover the deuce point which will generate some gammons both when Black fans, and when he HITS!

Postponing the confrontation will result in two things:

1. Sometimes you will not leave a shot, which is good. 2. When you do leave a shot, it will be fatal if it gets hit because black will cover the 20 point blot in the meantime. This is BAD.

Therefore, I believe that one should partake of the huge bonus a gammon win will provide, despite suffering the occasional indigestion generated by getting hit. It seems like this sort of play must provide over twice as many gammons as it does extra losses. It might even REDUCE the total number of losses, in fact, and wouldn't that be nice for a risky play?
