No, it is not reasonable. As Rick pointed out, the wider the doubling window the less chance of overshooting it, hence greater efficiency. Obviously, the window changes at different scores. And, as Bob pointed out, positions must be factored in. Holding games, in particular, can be very inefficient positions and will often lead to the market being way overshot, after a critical hit.
