Great discussion - is there a corresponding one for 'Real Doublepoint'?

This has been a very educational thread. I am starting to try my hand in some tournaments, but my weak understanding of match equity needs to be remedied to be competitive. Recognizing that, a little while ago I set about memorizing the initial and 'cube at 2' double and take points. The problem is that I was looking at live take points, thinking that they would be the most practical.

And just as I have almost got them memorized I read this. :)

Anyway, it seems that there is a similar conversation to be had about doubling points, or am I missing something?
